Who is Jesus?
Maybe you have heard the name your whole life. Maybe you have questions, or doubts, or you just aren't sure what to believe, that is okay. You are welcome to explore at your own pace, and you don't need to pretend you have it all figured out.
He's real...
Jesus was a real person who lived in the Middle East about 2,000 years ago. Historians, including those who aren't Christians agree that he lived, taught, and was put to death by the Romans. What made him different is what he claimed: That he was God come to earth, and that he came to bring people back to God.
He knows what we are carrying...
Most of us know deep down that something is broken, the the world and in oursleves. We hurt people, we get hurt, and we can't seem to fix it on our own, the Bible calls this sin, and it separates us from God.
He did what we couldn't...
Jesus lived the life we couldn't live. He died on a cross, taking the weight of our wrongs on himself, three days later he rose from the dead, proving that he is who he said he is. Because of that, anyone can be forgiven and start fresh, not by earning, but by trusting him. John 3:16-17 [NASB]...16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
He invites you, just as you are....
You don't have to clean up your life first, Jesus said in Matthew 11:2828 “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Following him isn't about religion or rules, it is about a relationship with God that changes everything.
Ready to take a step?
If you would like to begin a relationship with Jesus, you can talk to him right now. There are no magic words, but you might pray something like this: " Jesus, I believe your are who you say you are. I know I have done wrong, and I am sorry. Thank you for dying for me and rising again. I want to trust you and follow you, come into my life and make me new. In Jesus name Amen"
If you prayed that, we would love to know so we can celebrate with you and help you take your next step.
