Galations 6:9 [NASB]...9 Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.
Every fall, the pumpkin patch next to our church opens back up. Almost overnight, it feels like fall has arrived, pumpkins are everywhere, familes are stopping by, and its one of those little reminders that another season has come around. But every pumpkin sitting in that field started long before we ever saw it. Someone planted, somone watered, someone tended, somone waited and there is the lesson for us.
Paul writes, " Let's not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary". There are times that we get discouraged because we dont see immediate results, we pray but nothing seems to change, we keep doing the right thing but wonder if it really matters. We pour into our family, serve someone, encourge someone, or simply try to follow Jesus faithfully and still don't see much happening. But remember that just because you can't see the harvest yet doesn't mean God isn't at work.
Seeds grow where we can't see them. So this week, keep planting, keep praying, keep loving people, keep doing what God has called you to do and wherever God places you, faithfully represent Jesus. The harvest belongs to God, our part is to remain faithful.
Until next Monday, keep pouring into what matters.
